The AEA 480 bar compressor is incredibly user-friendly. It comes with an A/C cable and jumper cables. Using the A/C cable, you can connect it to a wall socket with 230 Volts 50 Hz, and with the jumper cables, you can connect it to a 12 Volt car battery. This makes it convenient for refilling your air reservoirs even when you’re away from home.

The AEA 480 bar compressor features a large switch on the front with a sticker above it indicating the purposes of position 1 and position 2.

  • Position 1: For regular power supply using an A/C cable and wall socket, or with a car battery using the provided jumper cables.
  • Position 2: For connecting the compressor to a standalone battery.

Set the switch to the correct position and adjust the desired filling pressure on the display. Just below the display are four buttons: a SET button, an ON/OFF button, a plus button, and a minus button. These buttons are all you need to operate the AEA 480 bar compressor. The ON/OFF button is self-explanatory. With the SET button, you adjust the displayed values:

  • Hold the SET button for 3 seconds and then press the plus button to switch between bar and PSI.
  • Hold the SET button for 3 seconds and then press the SET button again to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius using the plus button.

Once all the values are displayed to your preference, you’re almost ready to start filling an air reservoir. You only need to set the correct filling pressure. Hold the plus and minus buttons for 3 seconds to adjust the pressure. Then, press the plus button to increase the pressure or the minus button to decrease it. Attach the hose, which is clamped at the top, to the air reservoir and press the ON/OFF button to start the AEA 480 bar compressor.

When the compressor reaches a temperature of 35°C/95°F, the fan will automatically turn on and remain on until the temperature drops below 30.2°C/90°F. If the compressor gets warmer than 71°C/160°F, it will automatically shut down to cool off.

There is a vent valve on the side of the AEA 480 bar compressor to release any moisture filtered from the air used. This model is entirely oil-free, which significantly reduces maintenance.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Never exceed the factory adviced fill pressure of your air rifle and your filling equipment!

Since this compressor’s maximum filling pressure is 480 bar and the average air rifle fill pressure is between 200 and 300 bar, it’s crucial to check the maximum fill pressure of your air reservoir and your air filling equipement like fill hose, quick connnect adapters etc so you will never exceed the maximum fill pressure of the weakest part of your fill line.

Set this maximum fill pressure correctly on the AEA 480 bar compressor before using it.
